EFFICIENT STRENGTH
the story behind
My powerlifting journey began in 2017. Back then, I was just a young athlete eager to try this sport. Encouraged by my first coach, I decided to compete in my first competition. That day, standing on the platform, I realized one thing – I want more. Although my first competition result was only 395 kg in the 74 kg weight category, the motivation, desire, and passion grew exponentially after that. I trained with discipline: I was the first to arrive at the gym and the last to leave, studying the best athletes, observing every movement, and always searching for answers to every question.
"I trained with discipline: I was the first to arrive at the gym and the last to leave..."
2019 was the first breakthrough, reflecting the hard work I had put in. I broke 3 Lithuanian records, achieved the national master’s standard, became the Junior World Vice-Champion in Canada, and the European Vice-Champion in Czech Republic. Competitions in Japan and Finland proved that I was on the right path, but the transition into the youth age group in 2020 presented a new challenge. The competition became much stronger, and my progress slowed down.
This is when I encountered one of the biggest issues in Lithuanian powerlifting – the lack of high-level coaches. Training on my own and following general programs I found online was just wasting time on trial and error. I realized that in elite powerlifting, there are no coincidences – every top athlete trains methodically, based on solid science and a clear system.
I started diving deep into the subtleties of training: how to dose the load, how adaptation works, and the role of biomechanics, physiology, and psychology. I read the latest research, attended seminars, and learned from the world’s best athletes to understand not just what works, but why it works. Each detail I learned helped improve not only my own results but also those of the athletes around me. This led me to take another step – to create what I had been missing in the beginning.
That is how Efficient Strength was born in 2022. It is not just about making training programs and lifting weights – it is a new approach in powerlifting coaching. Professionalism, a clear system, strategic thinking and a focus on long-term development for each athlete. From day one, Efficient Strength has been about more than numbers on the bar – it is about vision, teamwork, and achieving long-term success.
At first, we faced the common belief that a professional coach specializing in powerlifting isn't necessary to achieve results. However, with every competition and each increasingly confident performance by Efficient Strength athletes on the platform, trust in us and the quality of our services kept growing.
Our athletes consistently place on the podium in national championships, become Lithuanian champions, and set national records. But this is just part of the picture. Efficient Strength athletes compete internationally at the highest level. It is fair to say that our methods transcend borders and the strategies we apply work regardless of nationality or location.
Efficient Strength is a community where every athlete has a clear plan, strategy, and support. Our mission is to ensure that no one has to walk the difficult path I did. Because when you have the right system, the right people and a clear vision – there are no limits.

From a young age, I felt that my place was in sports, but it took time to find my path, my discipline.
I am grateful to Rokas for helping me take my first step not only in my career as an athlete but also as one of the coaches on the Efficient Strength team. From my very first client, I realized that this is where I belong—working with people who strive, who want more. I set the highest goals and standards for myself, so I appreciate those who share similar qualities and work ethic, who approach sports professionally rather than just as a hobby or an ego boost in the gym.
I dedicate a large part of my time to this sport, immersing myself in everything related to powerlifting because I don’t believe that achieving top results today is simply a matter of "good" genetics and the "best" program. I feel a duty and responsibility to grow this sport in Lithuania, to see more young athletes involved, and to break the stereotypes that powerlifting can "break" you. A coach is no longer just someone who checks technique and writes down numbers for what and how much to do. The kind of coach I aspire to be is a role model, a teacher, and, when necessary, a psychologist.
I am a two-time Lithuanian Championship silver medalist in my weight class and have also won a bronze medal once. I know very well what it feels like when everything is going great, and I also understand what it means to fall into a slump—without the right person by your side it is nearly impossible to climb out of.
Only by working with a coach can you truly understand the value and meaning of the support and guidance they provide.
